Active Risk Manager extends reach in the Energy Sector by signing latest agreement with Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc. Toronto-based gas distribution company selects Active Risk Manager for enterprise risk management
Strategic Thought Inc announced today that Enbridge Gas Distribution Inc has signed an agreement to use Active Risk Manager to support the implementation of its new enterprise risk management strategy and process.
Enbridge Gas Distribution is one of the fastest growing natural gas companies in North America providing safe reliable delivery of natural gas to more than 1.8 million residential, commercial and industrial customers across Ontario, Canada.
Active Risk Manager, a web based enterprise risk management software solutions was selected because of its flexibility and the ability to configure the software to support Enbridge's new innovative enterprise risk management process.
Joanna Makomaski, Manager, Risk Management said, "We looked at several risk management systems and Active Risk Manager met our requirements because of the ability to use it as a vehicle to support a robust risk management process and methodology across the business. We are working with Strategic Thought to further incorporate critical features in Active Risk Manager that will help implement our risk management strategy."
Karl Pringle, General Manager of Strategic Thought Inc added, "This agreement with Enbridge Gas Distribution follows a contract with NorthWestern Energy earlier this year, therefore, illustrating the increased use of Active Risk Manager in the energy sector. The initial pilot of Active Risk Manager will take place in Enbridge Gas Distribution's headquarters in Toronto Canada.
