Management
Strategic Thought Group plc is managed by the Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Peter Morgan. The day-to-day running of the business is the responsibility of the Management Team, made up of the executive directors of Strategic Thought Ltd. and Strategic Thought Inc, and key managers from the business. Peter Morgan:
Non-executive Chairman
Peter had a 30 year career with IBM. He is a former Executive Director of IBM (UK) and was also Group Director of Marketing for IBM Europe. Now chairman of Technetix Group Limited and a non-executive Director of Oxford Instruments plc and Hyder Consulting plc. Peter is a former Director General of the IoD.
Martin Metcalf: Chief Executive Officer
Martin has worked in the IT Industry since 1982 for organisations including Digital Equipment Corp and BT. In 2006, after 12 years at SAP AG, Martin left as Regional Managing Director, Nordics, UK, Ireland & Africa: he was responsible for operations in 12 countries, revenues of over $1bn and more than 1400 staff. Prior to that, he held various senior executive positions with SAP in sales, marketing and operations.
Andrew Darby: Chief Financial Officer
Andrew was at Misys plc as Business Unit Finance Director within the Banking Division. Andrew held several senior financial positions whilst at Misys, including Chief Financial Officer of Misys Risk Management Systems in California and European Financial Controller. His early career was at Generali SpA and English and American Group plc. Andrew qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand.
Simon Ricketts: Non-executive Director
Simon is currently Chief Information Officer of Scottish & Newcastle plc, having held senior operational positions with Cadbury Schweppes PLC and British Steel plc. He advised on the MBO and subsequent flotation as a non-executive Director of ITNET plc. He is also a non-executive Director of Barbox Ltd. Simon was appointed as a non-executive Director to the board of NS&I (National Savings and Investments) in July 2007.
